I help professionals identify and overcome hidden bias
One of my longstanding interests is the effect of bias on human judgment.
We all bring assumptions, experiences, expectations, and prejudgments into the way we interpret information. Sometimes these mental shortcuts help us. Sometimes they quietly lead us toward the wrong answer.
For a licensing candidate, bias may appear as repeatedly selecting an answer because it sounds familiar, focusing on one dramatic detail while overlooking the clue the Board actually considers important, or changing a correct answer after unnecessary second-guessing.
In professional practice, unchecked assumptions can affect how information is interpreted, alternatives are evaluated, and decisions are made.
That is why bias-aware reasoning is central to my approach.
The objective is not to pretend that people—or AI systems—can become completely free of bias. It is to become better at recognizing assumptions, challenging them, examining the evidence, and reducing their influence on consequential decisions.
Explore my multidisciplinary approach can help you think like the Board and pass the ASWB LCSW-C or LMSW, PMHNP, FNP, NCLEX-RN, NCE/NCMHCE, and other licensing exams. Already practicing? Discover new ways to strengthen your practice, uncover blind spots, and make better decisions.
Passing the Board. Strengthening your practice.
